What a Fucking Joke
All things come into existence from their opposite state
Socrates said
Or something like that
For example love must have once been hate
I don’t know
What I do
is that the punchline
made everyone sitting around the table cry laughing
and the whole room smelled like the limes
squeezed for gin
We all stopped talking philosophy and dirty jokes
when the song about a tough guy played on the radio
We were all caught in the midst of something
bigger than ourselves Even the cat
could not help but notice the full moon
What a fool I had been thinking
I could not live without you
