2023 Cavafy Prize Finalists

The C.P. Cavafy Poetry Prize is one of two annual contests sponsored by Poetry International honoring a single poem of any length. Editors of Poetry International judge each submission and select the prize winner.

We are delighted to publish the finalists for the 2023 Cavafy Prize in Poetry:

Mervyn Seivwright and Paul Goudarzi-Fry

Each poet brings a distinct and powerful voice to contemporary poetry resonating with the spirit of Cavafy’s legacy.
